Deposits and Balance Payments
Upon confirmation you will receive an invoice for the deposit of 20% of the total cost, to be paid within 7 days of the invoice date. The balance of the booking cost plus the Security Bond will be due at least 30 days prior to check in. If the booking deposit is not paid within 7 days or the final payment is not received at least 30 days prior to check-in, this may result in your booking being cancelled.
A Security Bond of $450 is payable on all bookings, via bank transfer, and due a minimum of 30 days prior to check in. The Security Bond will be refunded to you by bank transfer after the exit date and upon satisfactory exit inspection of the property. We do not accept credit card security payments.

14-Day Cancellation Policy (excludes Easter, Christmas and New Year)
If you wish to cancel your booking, you are required to provide at least 14 days written notice to be entitled to a full refund. Easter, Christmas or New Year booking cancellations require a minimum of 30 days written notice. Deposits will not be refunded if cancelled less than 30 days prior to check-in.
If you cancel your booking in writing within 14 days of check-in, your deposit will not be refunded.*
If you do not check-in and have not attempted to cancel your booking, you will not be entitled to a refund of any monies paid.*
Bookings are transferrable upon prior arrangement. Requests must be made in writing.
*If there are extenuating circumstances for late cancellations or no-show, and you can provide evidence of such, a refund may be granted. Refunds are at the discretion of management.
By placing a booking request for Lake Bywater Cottage (the Business), you understand and agree to the following:
You agree to pay all accommodation costs and the security bond by the due date/s.
The Business and its owners will not be held responsible for personal items left on the property during your stay or after your departure.
The Business and its owners will not be held responsible for any injury, damage, loss or additional expenses caused directly or indirectly by events which are beyond their control.
Any damage caused during your stay must be reported as soon as possible and before check-out. Repairs will be charged back to you or deducted from the Security Bond.
You agree to being invoiced for the cost of additional cleaning and property repairs associated with your stay should this cost exceed the Security Bond. Failure to pay the amount owing, unless we consent, will result in legal action and all costs of that action will be charged to you.
The Business and its owners do not accept liability for any errors, omissions, default or negligence represented on its website or in any document produced directly by the Business.
